Is SafePDF free?
Yes. The desktop app is free and open source under GPL-3.0. Pro is optional and adds batch processing and priority support.
Do my files get uploaded?
No. Everything is processed on your device. There is no cloud step, so nothing can leak in transit.
Which operating systems are supported?
Windows, macOS and Linux. You can also install it from PyPI with pip install SafePDF.
Does it need an internet connection?
No. Unplug your connection and it still works. Internet is only used for optional update checks.
Is it really open source?
Yes. The full source is on GitHub, so you can review it or build it yourself.
Can I use it at work?
Yes. The GPL-3.0 license covers commercial use. Pro adds batch processing for larger workflows.
